of Commerce- Established in 1954, the Department of Commerce has successfully
strived to achieve excellence and hence continues to be recognized among the
best global educational institutions in the realm of commerce as indicated by
the latest NIRF rankings too. The Department offers important undergraduate
courses i.e., B. Com and B. Com (Hons) that are well received by students
within India and across the globe. The Department has one of the most eminent
and fulgent societies of the institution, The Commerce Society which provides a
plethora of robust opportunities that encourages creativity and intellectual
activity among the students. For this purpose, it arranges talks, lectures,
group discussions, competitions, seminars, and conferences throughout the year.
Also, there exists the Finance and Investment Cell, which is a student-driven
initiative towards acquiring and sharing knowledge amongst the finance
enthusiasts. The bi-annual e-magazine of the Department of Commerce, Comércio
has been an epitome to exhibit excellence in several fields be it in academics,
corporate world, entrepreneurship, or sports. The magazine exhibits research
papers on contemporary topics associated with commerce, finance and economy
